Matthew D. Camm

Associate

Matthew Camm is an Associate in the New Orleans office, where he represents victims of medical and professional negligence, fraudulent investment schemes, and other corporate misconduct.

 

Prior to joining the firm in 2019, Matt spent five years with one of the nation’s largest plaintiffs’ firms, litigating on behalf of workers, consumers, and investors throughout the Gulf Coast and across the country. Most recently, he was part of legal team leading the nationwide battle to hold the pharmaceutical industry accountable for the opioid epidemic that has devasted families and communities across the country. He also helped secure compensation for small business owners impacted by the BP oil spill; worked to recover hundreds of millions of dollars in losses on behalf of pension funds and the investing public resulting from securities fraud and antitrust violations; and fought to protect the rights of people injured by asbestos exposure, dangerous drugs and medical devices, and other hazardous products.

 

Matt received his law degree from LSU, and his BA from Carleton College in Minnesota.

 

Prior to law school, Matt worked for a state-funded organization in New Orleans that represents indigent criminal defendants in state post-conviction and federal habeas corpus proceedings. He also spent several years working in the Washington, D.C. office of a global law firm. Prior to that, he was a reporter for his hometown newspaper, the Dayton Daily News.
